Today we’d like to introduce you to Meka Diamond.
Meka, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The thought of my journey started in year 2015. I was riding in my car and the Holy Spirit whispered a word ” You will be a living testimony and you will be speaking in front of a room full of women”. During this pivotal time in my life, I quickly removed the thought out of my mind and swept it up under the rug. I wasn’t ready to share some of my darkest deepest secrets because I wanted to move beyond those moments. I cut myself off from the social world because I just didn’t want to have to face people, questions, lies, deceit and even some truths.
Little did I know, God was preparing me for another platform. My first founding business V’Zable Evidence had to pivot due to the pandemic.
The downtime of being home, I was able to pick my business apart and put it back together. I decided to concentrate on me instead of allowing others to overshadow or distract me from making sure this transition of launching another business was smooth. One day while laying on the couch I received another word.
This time the Lord said “It’s time to share your story”. Although I was scared, although I was nervous, I was obedient and then my journey began. I started writing. In 2021 I not only became the author of Diamond In The Ruff, I also launched my new motivational speaking, media, and business coaching company Meka Diamond Inc.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My transition begin very fast. My word from God took place in the summer of 2020. I decided to relaunch V”Zable Evidence in Feb 2021, launch Meka Diamond Inc in April of 2021, and release my book on my 43 birthday April 14, 2021. I was on an extreme fast pace.
My head was on a swivel, but I was determined to meet my personal goals and expectations of each and every new addition to my journey. Tired, frustrating, loss of relationships (business and personal), and even confusing moments became the norm for me, but I didn’t allow any of these obstacles control my pursuit. I’ve built solid relationships that continued to push me through my silent cries, allowing me to be vulnerable to share them openly, and to assist in the areas of the unknown. I’m forever grateful for those individuals.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Meka Diamond Inc was birthed from a place of wanting to uplift, encourage and motivate others to succeed no matter what the capacity. Underneath the V’Zable Evidence umbrella, we believe in adding to and or developing the whole person rather in business or personal life from the inside out. Through realities of life as a company, I have spoken in schools, panels, women empowerment engagements, conferences, media outlets and more.
I’ve also partnered with amazing business owners and speakers forming strategic partnerships. My company provides branding, marketing, strategic planning, media, community outreach where we have serviced over 7,000 hours earning a proclamation day, congressional awards and more. Meka Diamond Inc serves as a driving force to help individuals and businesses learn their capabilities and struggles so that there is longevity. We believe in and are committed too enhancing the lives we touch each and every day.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
My favorite books to read of course is my own book “Diamond’s In The Ruff”. I often go back and review some of the chapters of my life to showcase my growth and the blessings I’ve received because of my obedience. I realized there is nothing I can do without being spiritually in tune with what Gods desires are for my life. Prior to understanding my purpose, I controlled my own narrative.
Now that I’m focused and intentional on what God wants I have allowed myself to be more at peace in my decisions because of knowing where they come from. I listen to many podcast such as TD Jakes, Joyce Meyers, Transformation Church, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and Jerry Flowers. All of these resources have helped and inspired me throughout my journey.
