Hi Philanesia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Philanesia Wiley and I’m a married mother of 4 and 2 furbabies. I own a cleaning service and a candle boutique. The candle business was my younger daughter’s online venture, at the start of covid . She no longer wanted to pursue it and I was still invested in it so I changed the online presence to a storefront.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The business itself has been smooth, although finding a location was a bit troublesome.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a wax pour boutique. This is a candle making business, similar to Painting with a twist except with candles. You literally make your own candle from start to finish. You select from 22 different fragrances, 4 different candle jars, 4 different labels and pour your own wax. We offer complimentary glasses of wine, Wi-Fi, music via Alexa and a phone charging station. While you’re waiting for your candle to harden, you can shop our already made candles or accessories at a discounted rate. There’s also a warehouse full of selfie and photo walls to indulge in, as you’re waiting on your candle.
