Meet Linda Freeman of Scrubsnluv

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Freeman.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Wow, how I got started, well I actually started the business because a girlfriend of mine called me and asked if I still made bath salts anymore, I politely to her no and thought that was the end of the conversation well it wasn’t she asked again and I agreed, A couple of days later she called me with excitement in her voice and said girl you need to go and get your DBA because your product is awesome and my clients loved it.

I got up off my comfortable sofa and headed to the courthouse to get my DBA and the rest is HERSTORY!

As I look back this was the best thing that I could have done for myself, back in 2011 our son was injured while serving in the war, he had suffered multiple injuries including a TBI (traumatic brain injury) which we had been told that he would be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life, I then left corporate America so I could take care of my son full time. Needless to say God had plans for our family; my son is not in a vegetative state and can walk with the assistance of his walker and most times in his wheelchair. He is totally disabled but he is alive and i can see him and touch him daily.

Starting Scrubsnluv I would say saved my life, as I said I left my job to care for my son, and the only income coming in was from my husband, I didn’t feel that I was making a contribution to the family so I talked about going back to work and getting a nurse to come in and help with my son, but for some reason I never got call backs. So the kitchen is my lab where I make magic.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No the road has not been an easy one,

I had no money when I started this company and I did not know exactly what I had gotten myself into. First thing I did was to get a team together to help me with how to market myself on a budget(haha), I bought books on starting a business, books on home based businesses. etc.,,, but the struggle was real again no money to buy supplies, I had naysayers along the way saying that I was just going to be a fly by night kinda business you know here today gone tomorrow. Even family members weren’t in at first but I kept on pressing on,

Scrubsnluv – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Scrubsnluv is the name of my business, we sell body care products such as soaps, bath salts and scrubs, body butter, lip balms, lotions and body wash

. We specialize in making our products with all natural and organic ingredients.

If I had to say what I was known for would be that I treat my clients as if they are my only client, I pride myself in customer service.

I’m most proud that I make a product that I believe in and that it really is a good product.

what sets me apart from others is me (haha), I take pride in what I do, I give 110% to my business. I don’t rush into making a product just to sell I want people to know that lots and lots of love goes into everything, Also not to toot my own horn but I think, no i know that our customer service is the best hands down.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Achieving your dreams is how I define success, and I always remind myself that nothing beats a failure but a try.

In my products there are several markers that I look out for
