Today we’d like to introduce you to Miyosha and Jacie Weston. Them and their team share their story with us below:
During the Pandemic, Jacie and Miyosha was torn on the type of business they wanted build in their local community. Miyosha, with her friendly and giving personality felt we should get into a service industry, something that made people feel good and happy, and for me, I felt the best service we could provide would be something essential during the pandemic. Since her and I was good at entertaining guest and being a host to our friends and family, we felt like this was the best idea to bring to this area.
September 2020, Jacie mother passed away from Alzheimer’s disease in Hopkins, SC. After returning home from his mother’s burial/memorial, we went to a sleep study center next door to the original World Famous Daiquiris and Margaritas To Go #1 on Clear Lake City Blvd. We pulled up and Miyosha pointed out “let’s go into that spot,” so we did. We spoke to the owner and worked out a deal to open another location in the surrounding area, and here we are today. Owners of World Famous Daiquiris To Go #2 at 1010 E. We started our process in September 2020 and opened May 1 2021. Not only has this business been rewarding to all the surrounding communities, but we have established good friendships, supporting customers and friendly people who love our services.
The support we’ve received has been phenomenal; Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Nassau Bay Community, Webster, Seabrook, League City, Clear Lake, Houston, Kemah, and so many other communities have shown us that a community is not only the city you run a business in, but everyone who supports it that supports you. Jacie is from a small town, Hopkins, South Carolina. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with his BS in Electrical Engineering and MBA. Miyosha received her BS in Finance with a minor in Leadership Management from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL, a BS in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology, from the University of Houston Clear Lake, and a MA in Human Resources Management with a minor in Employment Law.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The process started out bumpy for us, when searching for the perfect location, our business model was declined by one city and two commercial properties before we settled here in Webster. We are so glad God led us to Webster, TX. The economics department, Katy Hicks and the entire crew made our process smooth going forward.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about World Famous Daiquiris To Go #2?
We specialize in world famous creations of Daiquiris and Margaritas. Our product is quality, satisfying and we provide the best layered and mixed daiquiris to go. We can make any frozen drink you want out of a Daiquiri or Margarita. A few of our specialty drinks are; Italian Margarita, Pina Colada’s, Peach Bellini, the famous New Orleans Hurricane and over 100 other specialty flavors and creations. Our brand is the premium of worldwide daiquiris and margaritas, we serve only the best.
Currently, we are running several specials through the end of the year. 1. Purchase a party pack and receive 6 free Jell -O-shots, 2. A rewards program that offers a free drink after accumulating 10 points on your account. 3. Another great program we offer is, “Free shot Friday and Two Point Tuesday.” All these specials will run through 2021.
We recognize the importance of community work and often times we get so busy that we delay our time giving back to the community. More recently, Miyosha put together a small business group of participates who are willing to donate money and time to a nonprofit organization called Family Promise. The donations will help feed families during the Holidays and provide other food sources beyond the holiday season. We are also active members of Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and we offer discounts to all military personal with an ID, 10% off.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Walking into an ice cream shop and seeing any and every flavor that ever existed. We want to provide that kind of memory for adults.
