Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Brotsch.
Hi Melissa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and remember business being a topic of discussion often. So when I found myself in the accounting profession, it made total sense. Until it didn’t. It wasn’t too long that I realized I got no fulfillment from my career. I found no joy in the systematic function of accounting and bookkeeping work. After 20 years of number crunching, I found myself in miserable burnout. I was struggling physically, mentally and emotionally. I found myself struggling with chronic illness and pain. After a couple of years of seeking answers from the medical industry, Nothing helped. I began researching more natural, alternative ways to improve my health. I began falling in love with learning about the human mind, body and soul. I was blown away to find how much my health improved with every change I made to my nutrition. I found that supplements helped me more than any medication I tried. I was slowly getting better – day by day.
That journey leads me to a major career change. As I made huge strides in my health, I was curious to find a why to make a career change that aligned with my new passion for health and wellness. I began to pray for an opportunity. At that same point, I hit a plateau in my personal health. That’s when I found an incredible company with a life changing discovery and a business opportunity with it.
For the last 6 years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to feel better than ever before, help others improve their health and build a team of business partners on a mission together.
I have the honor to work my business from my phone; therefore, I get to network with the most incredible professionals from multiple industries across Waller, Katy, Cypress, Tomball and the Woodlands. I have been blessed to build relationships with men and women who support me, challenge me and cheer me on in all I do. I absolutely love doing the same for them.
A quote from Marc Anthony says… “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
Honestly, I absolutely love everything about what I do. It took me some time to find it, but now that I am freely living out my purpose with my business, I will never stop sharing this incredible opportunity.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My first year was filled with much success! I had a blast helping customers experience better health as well as helping business partners launch and grow their new businesses. But then the road got bumpy. I began doubting myself and my leadership abilities. Fear took a toll on my heart. I realized I had a fear of telling people that my new career was in the network marketing profession. I had many people tell me that it was not a “real” profession and accuse me of scamming people. I was confused on what I should do next. My health was truly impacted as were many that I was helping. Was I going to let the words of others shy me away from what I believed was my purpose?
The answer was NO. I. Do. Not. Quit.
I was raised to never give up and never give in to fear. I began a personal and professional development journey that continues today. First, I surrounded myself with other business professionals who were on similar business building paths as me. I researched the network marketing industry at nauseam. I hired a life and business coach who challenged me outside my comfort zone continually. I also completed a health and life coach certification to expand my knowledge and leadership abilities. Most recently, I have been working with a coach who has helped me see my full potential and God-given purpose as a strong leader, wellness professional, and business builder in the network marketing industry.
I now understand that if I want my business to grow, I must grow. I believe that a business and team can only rise as high as the leader. I commit myself to be a lifelong learner for the benefit of my team, my customers and myself.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
What once started out a health journey moved me toward a little side gig which turned into full blown passion. My company name is Gaining Life because that’s what I would tell myself every time I felt discouraged. I am gaining life – one change at a time. I am passionate about inspiring people to better health, better options for their family and finding the true freedom to become all they were created to be.
I have branded myself as the Biohacking Health Coach. I love to educate people about biohacking, cellular activation and how to improve the overall systems in the body. I love sharing tips on social media for the benefit of all my followers, friends and family. I am on a mission to introduce everyone I meet to a discovery that has been scientifically proven to slow down the aging process. I find it a privilege to walk others through their own health journey of gaining life, one change at a time. It brings much joy to my heart every time I hear someone share how he or she feels better and is getting to do more of what they love because of it.
As I mentioned before, I am very proud to now call myself a Network Marketing Professional. I am grateful to have an opportunity that is easily accessible for all. With a coachable desire, anyone can provide themselves with a life changing opportunity. With hard work and integrity, a person can literally change the trajectory of life for their entire family.

Living out my purpose – with my family, my business and my community. My incredible husband of 20 years and I are committed to live a God, Family, Community focused life. We have 2 children – 17 and 13. We live in the small community of Waller and just love small town life. We spend our time supporting our children in their passions of football and horses, building our businesses, and loving on our community. We want to leave a legacy of living for Jesus in everything we do.
