Today we’d like to introduce you to Geoff and Marsha Wood.
Hi Geoff and Marsha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Marsha and I started in 2018 with a small coffee trailer and a big dream. We really wanted to see the Hebrews Coffee as a leading faith and family Coffee company in the Woodlands and greater Houston area.
The small vintage trailer was finally invited to start servicing hospitals, schools and the majority of churches in the Woodlands area. Our catering dreams had taken off and we were meeting so many wonderful people.
Me, Co-owner Geoff Wood, Had considered that it would just be too expensive to have a storefront and we probably always just be a small mobile company.
2020 had reassured me that it was going to be a lot harder for this business to succeed due to the shutdowns on the pandemic..
My wife Marsha had encouraged me to believe that God had a bigger plan for this coffee company. At the end of 2020, we were presented with an opportunity to open a storefront in a very remote industrial warehouse complex.
It was not a prime real estate opportunity but there was something special about the complex.
We open in February 2021 and after two short months of being open God has given us a viral sensation with these coffee flights.
Now of course Coffee flights were being done in other places but really not in the Woodlands or the Houston area. When we launched the coffee flights in late April people begin flying in from all over the United States to come enjoy them.
As this article is being written we have sold over 6000 coffee flights since the first viral Facebook post was went to over 2.3 million people.
We are so grateful to the community in Magnolia a Texas and all the 23,000 followers on Facebook who continually support us in our efforts to be a relationship loving faith and family coffee company!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The pandemic really took a toll on our catering business. All of our mobile events were canceled and it was hard to see how we could derive an income without any events, but God was so faithful and everything changed once we were able to open Hebrews Coffeehouse Magnolia in February of 2021!
Now Hebrews serves over 4000 people a week!!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are pretty simple people. We have never been in the coffee business before this. We have never been in the restaurant business before this.
But now we have a really thriving coffee house which produces some of the best food in our area While using our local Roaster, Purefi Coffee in Roasters in Spring Texas. With their help, we are able to supply some of the best fair trade organic coffees in our area!
How do you think about happiness?
God, family and our coffee business make us extremely happy. Waking up and working in this community have been an amazing treasure that we can’t describe!
