Hi Kyra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
In 2018, I began learning about metaphysics and how powerful the subconscious mind is. I read somewhere that humans only use 5-10% of their minds. Since then, I’ve found that this was a myth. Nonetheless, that statement made me hungry for knowledge. I wanted to know how to operate as my “higher self” using more of my mind and the principles of psychology. As well as how to build a true relationship with the divine. That which is greater than me.
Most people don’t know that from ages 3-6 I had a gift a clairaudience. Meaning, I had the capability of communicating with the spiritual realm. However, most of the time the audio was muffled so I couldn’t understand all of the time. I never thought to tell anyone, because I didn’t want to sound crazy and honestly I thought it was all in my imagination. After years of suppressing such a gift, it got faded away into the background of everyday noise.
Fast forward to the year 2018: I’m a 22-year-old first-semester senior at Clark Atlanta University. I live in an apartment with my roommate who, unbeknownst to me, needed answers from spirit. During this time, I began having prophetic dreams. Messages for loved ones that started showing up in reality. One afternoon, I woke up from a nap hearing spirit guides and their message. The message did not resonate with me so I knew the message wasn’t for me. Curiously, I asked for her opinion and we learned that the message that I interpreted from spirit was actually a message for her. Her questions had been answered by me! That blew me away!
I was hungry for more. I didn’t want to just communicate with the spirit in my dreams. I wanted to make this an everyday practice, but I didn’t know where to start. A year later, I was in the middle of my dark night of the soul journey and was desperate for closeness with spirit. I began getting many suggestions on YouTube showing tarot readings. I was a bit skeptical about it but had nothing to lose. After watching hundreds of tarot readings I picked up my own set of cards and began divining for myself. Another year went by before word got around. Others wanted me to read for them. I told myself if I can get 9/10 readings correct I will turn this into a business. I got back 9 testimonials in two weeks and the rest was history.
I am now a self-development and mindset coach with a concentration in shadow work and inner-child healing. I communicate with the spirit using tarot to help others facilitate transformation and healing. I now have over 100 testimonials, which you can find on Instagram in one highlight reel.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. Outside of business; there was a lot of personal trauma, limiting beliefs, and fears that showed up. If you ever want to challenge your beliefs start a business.
I guarantee you will be humbled LOL. Most of the time, I was allowing my past mistakes and outside noise to get in the way. I struggled greatly with the belief that I was worthy of creating a successful spiritual business. It didn’t help that those close to me didn’t see the vision. I had to learn that they can’t see something that was never meant for them.
The hardest part of creating something so amazing is pushing through adversity and staying the course. Be consistent regardless of the world around you crumbling. As the late Nipsey Hussle once said, “stick to your script long enough to make something real happen.”

I specialize in shadow work and inner-child healing. According to psychiatrist Carl Jung, the shadow is the unconscious, fragmented version of ourselves that is responsible for creating dissatisfaction, turmoil, and unrest in our lives. The shadow is important because we often suppress the parts of ourselves that are the root of why we feel so out of touch with our best. We’re not in alignment. The root is primarily due to childhood and/or adolescent experiences that we’ve swept under the rug, which never gets addressed. Years can go by and you will still find that dust under the rug. Until someone finally lifts the damn rug up and takes accountability by sweeping it up and throwing it away.
What sets me apart from other businesses is that even though it’s spiritual I still allow myself to enjoy life. Being “woke” and “spiritual” doesn’t mean that you negate yourself of pleasure, joy, and fun. I still live my life boldly and out loud so I have nothing to hide. I am vulnerable, transparent, and authentic online and offline. I expose parts of myself that I’m not so proud of all while uplifting myself at the same time. To teach people that I am just like them. Yes, I am a healer. Yes, I am gifted. Yes, I am purposeful, but so are they. In their own way of course! I get paid to serve, while simultaneously being me. Not some perfect, spiritual facade. That in itself is a blessing. I don’t want it any other way.
My plans are to be a mogul in the spiritual/wellness/mindset community. Hence, my business and brand name. The time is definitely near!
What does success mean to you?
Success is subjective. It’s what you decide to make it. Success looks different for everyone and it shouldn’t be determined by anyone, but self.
Overall, success to me is being self-aware enough to know what is in alignment for you! What’s in alignment for me may not be in alignment for the next person and their purpose. This is why I will never tell someone what they SHOULD be doing. I create a safe space for them to be able to explore that for themselves. I believe we all hold the answers within. My job is to help guide you to them.
