Community Highlights: Meet Rachel McElroy of Harper Grayson Communications

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel McElroy.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My career in marketing began when I was an on-air morning show talent in Lafayette, La. I realized then while I was able to have a lot of fun going to the Grammys and giving back to the community, I’d have a bigger impact being behind the scenes.

I was honored to have worked with neurosurgeons, prestigious as agencies, embedded with Homeland Security, and facilitated meetings with more alphabet soup titles than I had imagined.

After moving to The Woodlands, I was on the hunt for friends. I was a total mom group drop out but I was a single mom with two-year-old twins. I joined Woodlands Girls Night Out on Facebook and started going to brunches. It was there a lot of business owners were talking about needing marketing efforts. I decided to leave Swagelok, a 2.2 billion dollar industrial supplier, and head out on my own.

In the past three years, my company has drastically grown. We are proudly serving the community, supporting our colleagues, mentoring interns, driving real results for our clients.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Personally, I have gone through a divorce, raised toddler twins, and moved to the great state of Texas.

Professionally, growth is hard. Finding that perfect talent, battling the wave of Covid related issues, finding the right systems to put into place for efficiency.

We’ve been impressed with Harper Grayson Communications, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a digital marketing agency that specializes in white label social media marketing, graphic design, website design, branding and strategic planning. What sets us apart is our strategic planning, engaging, and design skills.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
The achievement of goals.
