MarQuita Leonard, born and raised in Ecletic, Alabama, is a serial entrepreneur and single mom of two beautiful children, Malik and Zaniah. She is the oldest of five siblings birthed by the late Marilyn Leonard. After several evictions and life struggles, Marquita decided to take charge, “Boss Up”, and become an entrepreneur. Now just over five years from starting this journey, MarQuita has not only transformed her family’s life but became the CEO of several multi-million-dollar businesses: Bright Beginnings Financial Services, Boss Up Girl, and the Chosen Destiny Foundation.

After dealing with multiple evictions In 2016 MarQuita birthed Bright Beginnings Financial Services after being laid off from her job in May of 2016. She took her severance fixed her credit and now has made Millions as a God-Made Serialpreneur. Marquita has served the less fortune community with her Non-Profit Organization Chosen Destiny by providing, clothing, food, job placement, housing & monetary gifts. MarQuita has a program where she teaches financial literacy to the youth in the community and help them financially with their dreams and goals.
MarQuita has helped several single mothers repair their credit at no charge. She also host several webinars full of valuable information to help businesses succeed. She is definitely the definition of the BluePrint. MarQuita plans to help breast cancer survivors excel in life to honor her late mother who passed away battling Breast Cancer. MarQuita will also donate yearly to help Breast Cancer Survivors.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The Road has definitely been rocky but worth it. I wouldn’t change anything about my journey. God sometimes has to make us uncomfortable to bring us to where we need to be. I needed to go throw everything I went through it made me who I am today.

What were you like growing up?
I was a troubled child in my teens but happy. I was raised by my grandmother who passed away in 2013 from a Brain Aneurysm. My mother passed away in 2007 from breast cancer. I had a hard time forgiving my mother but now I understand why. I always felt motherless so it caused me to act out. It taught me how to be a better mother and break the cycle. My grandmother taught me how to cook so that gives me peace cooking and helping others.
