Daily Inspiration: Meet Tavarez Stewart

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tavarez Stewart.

Hi Tavarez, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my YouTube channel( Mr.Tmz Vlogs) while I was attending Jackson State University. even though I graduated with a Bachelor ls in computer engineering I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur and get kids to do what I love doing. My dream was to start a channel but never had the courage enough to do so because I Believed nobody would want to watch what I do. I never considered the fact everybody would naturally watch me because I was one of the J5 Drum majors for one of the best bands across the country which was the Sonic Boom of the South.

What motivated me to take YouTube seriously was watching the YouTuber/rapper PontiacMadeDDG make vlogs on YouTube and make a living off of it. After seeing that I finally decided to take YouTube more seriously and try to get monetized for my videos. I started to follow trends and record more footage throughout the year and ended up qualifying to get paid from YouTube due to the amount of traffic that I brought in (views and subscribers. I’m still currently working on being one of the biggest YouTubers out now. Hopefully, I get to the point where I never have to work again!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle was trying to get to the point of getting monetized for my videos. As of right now, since I achieved that goal, my next step is getting exposure. Getting more people to know who I am and what I do. It’s even harder now to achieve that goal because we are going through a pandemic so I’m not able to record the world as much as I want to

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have a BA in computer engineering. All my videos, thumbnails, etc are all done by me. I also edit videos for other people that may need help. I am most proud of being blessed enough to achieve all my goals in life thus far. I am a first generation college graduate. I was able to get accepted into JSU and make the band playing trumpet. I decided to join one of the divine 9 which was phi beta sigma fraternity. After playing trumpet for 2 years, I tried out to be a drum major and made it.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was getting my first game system. My brother and I grew up playing games a lot when we use to be around friends but never owned one. So the day we finally got one we played it everyday even if it meant staying up all night
