Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrence Smith.
Hi Terrence, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I was growing up, I’ve always knew I would become my own boss, from my creativity and personality. Being surrounded by go-getters. Everything I wanted I worked for and If I didn’t have It determination would help me get It. Cooking has always been a passion for me, I loved It. The art, taste, smell, and knowing I could create something so beautiful, and people actually enjoy It.
2017 I worked for a local restaurant late nights early morning, I stayed for two years. one day I was at my ends wits I told myself this Isn’t for me. So, I resign I wanted to work for myself. Become my own boss. I took that leap of faith I prayed for. I didn’t know how I would make It. would It be successful?
2019 I started my business Taste of Tee. I researched dug deep. Got all my facts together. I begin selling Dinners from my home and was amazed at the amount of support I was receiving. You know when you’re doing good the devil will try to stop you. Months later I got an email my business had been reported. I was crushed. Wondering who would do this to me. long story short I went and got It all together every document, certification, permit. I overcame. I conquered. Now my business Is thriving more than it ever has and I’m blessed. and highly thankful.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say It’s been a smooth road; it’s been a journey but that’s what life Is. I faced challenges with having adequate help and finding like-minded Individuals who have the same dream and aspirations as me. But I stay focused and committed to my vision. being an entrepreneur, you’ll have your highs and your lows. What business doesn’t? You can’t let It stop you. Keep going.

I’m the Ceo of my Catering company Taste Of Tee I provide soul food. Breakfast/brunch and dinner Chicken, Fried fish, Mac and cheese, Greens, Seafood, turkey wings, Philly Rolls. you name It I’ve Done It. for large gatherings, weddings, birthdays, socials, and professionals. My most popular Dishes are my Seafood salad, Pork Chitterlings, and My brand of T’s hot sauce. What sets me apart from the rest Is everything I do Is with LOVE.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’ve catered for celebrities in Atlanta Georgia, Stevie J, from love and hip-hop Atlanta family and his father Moses Jordan, and Benzino American TV personality. I’m still writing my chapters my book Isn’t complete yet.
