Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Reddics.
Hi Edward, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Jelani I. Productions, LLC. after falling in love with capturing moments of my son.
In life, others have controlled my means of providing because I was always dependent on a job to ensure I was able to be a provider. Having someone else depending on you, you have to either be willing to deal with almost anything or find a way to ensure you can continue to move if your employer decides you are no longer needed. I have learned that people treat you differently when they think you need them and you have nowhere else to go. Being solely dependent on one thing was crippling and not the best option for someone with an open mind.
My father was a contractor and being skilled is one way that always ensured work. That is the lost trade of this generation that needs a resurrection. I am here to lay the foundation so my child/ren learn skills to always have the ability to work for themselves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing worth it is smooth. Being new to owning, it is a learning experience. Keeping up with the demand is a challenge often and getting people what they want when they want it. Amazon has us spoiled, lol.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love giving providing an image or design that speaks for itself. What sets me apart is my range of designs.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people think I’m Tommy from Martin. They don’t think I have a full time job with a local nonprofit servicing the community.
