Inspiring Conversations with Summer Frank of Frankly Summer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Summer Frank.

Hi Summer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Summer and I love social media! I’m a multi passionate person that’s always had an entrepreneurial spirit, so I’m loving this stage of life. As the Chief Marketing Strategist for Frankly Summer, a digital marketing agency, I created the opportunity to use my skills and knowledge for good! Operating from my sweet spot allows me to help small to medium sized businesses, by designing solutions to increase their digital presence, reach their target audience, and get online reviews.

For several years, I was the spokesperson for an affordable housing program, which allowed me to fulfill a goal on my vision board. In this role, I used my knowledge, skills, and education to be a part of the affordable housing solution in Houston. During that time, I noticed quality landlords were being overlooked by good tenants because they lacked a social media footprint and couldn’t be found online. In 2018, Frankly Summer was created to help solve that problem.

During the pandemic, as we all know, the world shut down and Frankly Summer was able to grow by helping businesses leverage social media with a strategy, attract more leads, produce content that gets noticed, and capture 5 star google reviews.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My business growth has been steady. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to carve a spot for myself in an area that I have years of experience, but with growth comes challenges. The problem I solve became a hot topic when the world shut down and I was forced to revisit my business model because I was getting overwhelmed. I knew I wanted to streamline my business operations and become more efficient. With the assistance of a biz model and systems coach, I was able to update my business model, efficiently accommodate more brands, AND have more free time.

Lesson learned: In the words of Gary Vaynerchuk, “Focus on the things that you’re good at and outsource your weaknesses. Stop blinding yourself. Start understanding who you are.”

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Frankly Summer is a digital marketing agency that specializes in real estate marketing. We believe every real estate professional and apartment community is a story waiting to be told. We leverage social media to create marketing strategies tailored to your goals and budget to attract new prospects, retain existing residents, and market your property to your target audience. We’ll handle everything from social media campaigns, reputation management, and marketing automation.

I bring a unique perspective to my marketing strategies, having led city wide efforts, marketing the Housing Choice Voucher Program and educating over 2500 property owners to generate a new revenue stream in their real estate portfolio.

I’m genuinely happy, I was able to create a business that aligns with my personal values. Everyday I feel as though I’ve been able to combine my purpose and passion to make a profit.
