Valeria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am originally from Argentina. My husband and I moved to the US in August 2000 to pursue our MBA degrees. After graduation, from University of Texas and St. Edward’s University respectively, we moved to Pennsylvania. I started working for QVC until 2007 when my husband change positions with General Electric and he was assigned abroad. We moved internationally for 5 years until we settle in Katy. At that point, I was a stay at home mom. In 2015 we decided to rethink how we were going to proceed with our careers. We always talk about opening our own business. We came across Experimac which is a franchise and we love the concept. So much so that we decided that Experimac was a perfect fit for us. We opened the store on February 27th, 2017 and it’s been great. We love what we do and best of all the business is growing.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In any new business there is a learning curve and we have endured ours to get where we are today.
