Check Out Taylor Marier’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Marier.

Hi Taylor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I really enjoyed telling stories to my followers about my wild encounters & they kept pushing me to start a podcast.

I then met LP, the owner of The Creators Guild HTX & we started working together at the end of 2020.

We both have our own successful podcasts and enjoy the art of production. The Guild prides itself in providing the space & opportunities for creatives, which is something I truly admire, so I approached LP with a partnership idea to start teaching people how to go about launching podcast & following through with strategic execution.

We are now in the works of putting together a Houston Podcast Day coming summer 2022 where we will have LIVE courses, panels, and entertainment & then plan to continue it online following the event.

We have a lot in store & I’m excited because Houston has a select group of people that like to gate-keep these opportunities so being able to create our own & share it with the public is awesome!!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has been my baby, I see it as my outlet from the normal hustle & bustle of life. As a creator, you have this innate drive & lust that just keeps you going.

My latest phrase is it’s in you not on you. So with that mindset, it makes the road smoother. Not easy, but smooth.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am most proud of my ability to think outside the box & provide comfort to others.

Although I don’t feel like being a people person everyday, I enjoy making people laugh and smile with my charismatic charm & whit.

I had the bad habit of code switching from the professional sorority girl to the street strategist so I know how to relate to a lot of areas & tie them together creatively & confidently.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I take risks all the time, lol.

My biggest risk in the creative space was giving up (or taking a break). It took a mental toll on me for 6 years, nearly half a decade wasted. The beautiful thing about life though is that you can always try again and reinvent yourself.

I’ve learned more recently to take calculated risks. You can’t put yourself in a bind to where you’re in need of being saved because you need to be your own safety net when you’re a creative.  Many people don’t believe in you until you’re making loud noises. So bet on yourself strategically & trust your choices.
