Exploring Life & Business with DaLara Lamb of Volkswagen Cypress

Today we’d like to introduce you to DaLara Lamb.

Hi DaLara, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I have two beautiful children & an amazing husband and in my opinion, the absolute best doggy around. I worked in a couple of different fields in Oklahoma, before taking several years “off” to stay home with my daughter when she was little. Our family moved to Houston in 2018 and immediately fell in love with the area.

In 2019, my youngest was in school and I was ready and eager to get back into the workforce. That is when I started my journey in the Automotive Industry in the Service Department of a local dealership.

In November 2021 I joined Volkswagen Cypress in the Sales Department. I quickly realized that I truly enjoy this side of the industry and that it is the perfect place for me to help people and make some pretty awesome friends along the way!

I pride take great pride in my love for my clients and truly making a connection not just treating people as a sale.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Starting a new career rarely is a smooth road, there is a lot of learning curve, especially when you come into an industry knowing little to nothing of how it works like I did. It can be overwhelming for sure! Luckily I have an amazing team behind me to help me navigate my journey and provide me with the support I need to do my job to the best of my ability.

We’ve been impressed with Volkswagen Cypress, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I am proud to say that we are one of the only dealers around not charging thousands of dollars over MSRP during this unique car market and that we are innovative in selling from our pipeline of incoming inventory to help you find the perfect new car even though most lots are empty! All while offering top dollar for your trade, allowing our customers to use the current market conditions to their advantage, and get into a much better financial situation than they may have been previously.

How do you define success?
My definition of success is ending each day with the knowledge I was able to help someone. That can certainly manifest in many different ways, but knowing that I had a positive impact in someone’s life in any small way every single day is my goal.
