Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Light.
Anna, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Inner Loop Design is a lifestyle design firm, catering to our clients’ function, lifestyle, and budget. We use our experience, education, and creative talents to take an ordinary space and make it extraordinary.
We provide a full spectrum of design services catered to the needs of our clients. These services include interior selections (such as color, window treatments, furniture, building materials, and fabric), full house remodels, new construction selections and design, space planning, creative design ideas and solutions, and project management of remodels, new residential construction, commercial build-out, restaurants and boutique hotels.
Passion, creativity, style, and attention to detail is the winning combination that allows our team to bring you the highest quality interior design experience possible.
You might say that interior design is in Anna’s blood. Her grandfather was a noted interior designer in San Francisco in the 1950’s and her mother shared his talent. As a child, Anna spent many hours crawling among bolts of fabric while her mother shopped for clients. So the ability to create beautiful spaces comes naturally to Anna. She is passionate about fulfilling her clients’ needs and desires whether it be for their homes or their businesses.
After 15 years of designing with an associate’s degree, respecting the value of an education and not wanting to be a dinosaur in the industry, Anna went back to school at the age of 42. She graduated from the Art Institute of Houston in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. In March 2015, Anna created Inner Loop Design from a deep, inherited desire to provide quality, client-focused design. Her experience, education, unique history, and creativity have allowed her to achieve this goal. I take ordinary spaces and make them extraordinary. I am the conductor of your orchestra. Whether you love rock n roll, jazz or the symphony. I direct all the instruments of your orchestra and blend them together to play your favorite song.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This has not been a smooth road. Starting with the promise of an investor and a business partner 3 half years ago to restarting over alone about a year half ago with 0 in the bank and no new clients on the brink, not accepting no as an answer I wake up every morning with faith hope and joy and I have slowly acquired at least 2 new clients each month and I continue to move forward and see the light at in the tunnel. Meanwhile starting my nonprofit for the homeless. I feel when we are determined and motivated, we can move to any height. So I remain looking forward and filled with love and joy for what is to come next.

We are a client-focused company that truly caters to our clients and their life and style. We work with residential commercial and boutique hospitality. We start from the ground up to the last pillow puffed. So many choices are to be made we feel it is our responsibility to know our products function, proper usage, construction, quality, and beauty as it is placed in the space. To be well educated on the latest and greatest products how they will function in the space. Anna is a color expert and this is one of her specialties. Also believing in education we support traveling and adventure with backpacking through Europe for a month, going to CEU all over the country, staying active in city events such as art festivals and researching new vendors from all over the world. Giving back is a major passion for Anna this is why she started her Non-profit H4H Homeless 4 the homeless.

I have my Mother Joann who has supported me and propped me up when I could not see continuing. Many dear friends, Richard, Chasity, Oscar, Tonya and my children rooting me on and many times helping when I was overwhelmed with love and support.
