Today we’d like to introduce you to Siree Jones.
Siree, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Siree Jones, brand owner and creator of Sourire Intimates. Since high school, I have always been passionate about owning my own business. After a couple of unsuccessful business experiences, in 2019 I finally found my passion in lingerie. In Jan 2020, I packed up my life and business plans in Alabama and relocated to Houston, Texas. No one could predict a pandemic, but I made the very best of my time and resources to launch my new lingerie brand. After 10 months of planning and strategizing, on Halloween (10/31/20) I finally launched Sourire Intimates. A lingerie and intimate brand that is available online (ShopSourire.com). My desire is to be a full-time entrepreneur. It is my determination and desire to grow which forces me to be consistent.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has NOT always been smooth. My website launch was still mid-pandemic, but I made it happen. Not being able to physically get out and market or network locally was tough. I needed to introduce Houston to Sourire Intimates aside from social media. Not to mention, I was still navigating my way in a new city. Like most retailers when you are selecting product vendors it is a trial and error in itself. It is a timely task to find the right fabrics, packaging and customizing your brand. In a way, the pandemic limited most of these items to US only with covid shipping delays and tariff increases. Thankfully, I was able to overcome each and every trial.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Last year, while growing my lingerie website I decided to follow another dream. For years I wanted to dive into Real Estate, and I needed an additional stream of income to fund Sourire Intimates. It took me about 4 months to successfully complete all real estate courses and examinations. I like to say that it ALL worked together for my good! I was able to obtain a new career with eXp Realty not only as a Realtor, but as an employee. Not only do I love real estate, but I love my clients. For 8 years I worked in property management, and always wanted to take it to the next level. I am extremely proud of myself for doing everything I set out to do since relocating to Texas.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Absolutely! I see myself becoming a full-time entrepreneur. Each month I see growth in sales with my online lingerie site. I am more actively involved with local pop-up shops and vendor shops throughout the city. I see my sales growing and generating more and more income by the year. As far as real estate, I foresee game changing transactions that will excel my career. Also, I plan to invest in personal real estate transactions. Multiple sources of income is key!
