Today we’d like to introduce you to Loni Grace.
Loni, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
If my mother was answering this question she would tell you that I started making my own lunches at 5 years old. If my high school friends answered this they would tell you I catered my own high school graduation party. With that being said, I have always been a chef! Creativity and artistry is a passion for me and I showcase my passion through food. It’s been a long journey but along the way I have gained so much knowledge and expertise in the field of culinary that makes me versatile in the kitchen. Today, I work for myself and I’m in the process of launching my own concepts!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wish it was a smooth road but the bumps and potholes is what make you stronger. No matter what challenges would arise I would face them and learn from the situation. Cooking is one thing but business is another and that’s when you find out exactly where you want to be in this field.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a chef and I specialize in food! Lol! I know that may sound crazy to some but I can’t put myself into 1 category of cooking. I love to create, learn and try new things. I am mostly known for my brunch and catering. Brunch cuisine to me is like making comfort food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is the only cuisine where you can put oxtails with grits or pancakes with s’mores! The possibilities are endless with brunch.
I am most proud of losing almost 200 lbs by cooking for myself and starting martial arts. I’ve competed in Muay Thai competitions and earned 2 belts as an amateur fighter.
What sets me apart from others is that I never give up. I’m always excited to be a better version of myself each day. I yearn for growth and experience that it makes me unstoppable.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Growth. As I’m answering this 14 answers came to my mind that fast! But to sum it up, growth and experience. Why? Because I could say family, I could say money I could even say making my mother proud but in the end growth and experience is what would make all of those desires come to fruition. Learning from it and being able to be better than you were yesterday is what matters most.
