Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Keith.
Hi Angela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a self taught photographer from Chicago, IL. Photography and videography has been a passion of mine from an early age. I was editing videos at 14 and 15 years old and taking photography classes in 10th grade.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely been a bumpy road. Photography is not an easy craft nor is it cheap. You have to be invested and willing to learn and make mistakes like anything else. Being self taught was one of my biggest obstacles. Going forward it has been a lot easier with the help of YouTube and other online learning classes but it was very difficult without some type of schooling.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At the moment I am still finding my niche but I like to get into a little of everything. I especially love sports photography, Portrait and newborn photography but I also don’t want to just limit myself to one type because I love it all. I want to be best known for my versatility.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was extremely shy and a little quiet kid, but definitely the black sheep. I’ve always been different or what they call “weird”. I’ve always had a different thought process than most.
