Today we’d like to introduce you to Asher Bryan.
Hi Asher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The journey to becoming a business owner has been one full of Self-awareness and growth, it’s most definitely a role I’m called to grow into more and more every day. I like to say that Thee Abundance Shop is my co-created brain child with God/Goddess, The Universe or whichever moniker you resonate with as a Power that’s Higher than the Self; it seems fitting given that the idea for my Shop came to me during a meditation.
My Mom introduced me to meditation a few years ago. She definitely led me to the water of mental + spiritual wellness to see if I would drink, and now I’m learning how to swim in it lol. She’s quite literally always been my 1st supporter at life, even when she’s a Mom and doesn’t agree with 100% of my Sagittarius decisions, she always loves me through; that has made all the difference growing into my own Divine womanhood. And my strong sense of self- that entrepreneurial spirit, definitely has my Dad written all over it. I’m blessed to have been given every ingredient necessary in order to bloom into my highest + best vision, every day is an attempt to do just that.
Though where I am today was far from “the plan”, I really couldn’t imagine it any other way.
I’m originally a “Floridian-New Yorker” lol and after graduating from Florida State University with my Bachelor’s degree + the student loans to match, the plan was to move back home to NYC and fulfill my childhood dreams of being a Fashion Publicist at a magazine or PR firm. I had spent my summer’s throughout college going back to the city to intern at different fashion houses like Giorgio Armani and Seventh House PR to gain experience. So when I graduated, I hopped on the hamster wheel to get straight to it.
I was working a PR job at a fashion house, interning at PAPER magazine, and working retail part-time. The infamous plan was in motion and thankfully I’ve had some great experiences because of it; but once I had reached the places I thought I always wanted to be, I realized that I had spent so much time sticking to my plan, that I hadn’t looked up (or within) to realize the plan had changed, because I had changed.
I really became more intentional about rediscovering who I was, what my needs were, and how to best honor that as I grew into my Womanhood. I’m also an impulsive, optimistic Sagittarius who trusts her intuition above all else, so when I no longer felt in Alignment with that career path, I did what many at the time thought was crazy – I took a leap of Faith and I quit.
I had learned enough about myself to know I was an entrepreneur at heart, but I wasn’t yet sure in what ways that would manifest for me; so I wrote a general mission statement for my life, stating that no matter what I do, as long as it allows me to share any bit of my Light with others, I Am in Alignment.
I went from having 1-day off a week, to an Abundance of free-time on my hands, which I used to find my Self, be of service to my community through volunteer work, and to teach English abroad in Thailand.
During this career limbo, Wellness practices like Yoga, Meditation, and Reiki had become sacred places of solace for me to gain clarity, peace and balance. The further along I journeyed into Self-discovery and Spiritual Wellness, the more I fell in Love and felt at home.
Life experience + Loved ones soon helped me to see that I had a desire to share the tools that have helped me within my journey of Self with others along their own. This is the place Thee Abundance Shop was birthed and continues to grow from daily.🌻
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Everything has a learning curve, for me my business has been no different. It has caused me to grow and stretch in ways I didn’t know I could. Every day it requires me to rise to the occasion of who I believe I was created to Be, and what I believe my business to Be. My Faith, Self-Discipline and Will Power are continuously being called to higher heights, and those aren’t easy things to cultivate, because we’re humans battling doubt, fear, and anxieties amongst all else in our lives.
There’s no hiding your faults, because your Business is quite literally an extension of you, so where you lack, your Business will lack. So I’m always growing, always learning, and working to improve myself so that my Business + Our Customers can reap the benefits of that.
It’s a process, but I remind my Self that I wasn’t born a business owner – so I give my Self Grace + Patience as I navigate through it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Thee Abundance Shop is an online Spiritual Wellness/Metaphysical Shop filled with product offerings designed to add Mindfulness into your every day life. Affirmation cards, meditation pillows, and crystal bracelets are amongst some of our Shop favorites. I love it because I also get to support other small business owners by featuring their products within the Shop as well. Though, we’re best known for our Abundance Box – which is a seasonal mindfulness Box you can buy one-time or subscribe to. Each season I intentionally choose at least 5 different wellness goodies to feature inside.
This season’s Spring Abundance Box Includes:

What are your plans for the future?
Recently, we have a cool local Juicery/Wellness Studio here in the Montrose area named XO Juice that’s started to sell the Spring Abundance Box in their store, which I’m really thankful + excited about! It’s the first product of mine inside of a brick & mortar. As far as future plans go, I definitely see us having a physical home with a store(s) of our own, as well as adding Yoga, Meditation, and Reiki to the Shop as Wellness Services. I love the in-person customer experience, so I’m looking forward to meeting more of them at the different weekend markets we do in the Houston area until then.
The Shop definitely attracts like-minded Tribe.
Overall I’m just looking forward to how the seeds I plant continue to grow.
