Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Mondesir.
Hi Danielle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I always had a love for makeup growing up. I remember being 8 or 9 years old sneaking into my mom’s makeup bag to practice. When I got to college, my family and friends encouraged me to start doing makeup on the side to make a few extra dollars. I started Reneé’s Radiance officially during my sophomore year of college. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I took a break and relocated to Houston. This year, I became an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay (their skincare products are top tier!), and I relaunched Reneé’s Radiance where I specialize in natural glam makeup services and lash extensions.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road since being in Houston! I’m still so new to the city and am having to really put myself out there so people know my business and what I do. But I have been setting daily goals for myself and coming up with some dope marketing strategies to meet potential clients.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a makeup artist and lash extension artist! I specialize in natural beauty glams. I love enhancing natural glows through my artistry in makeup and lash extensions. So far, I am most proud of my dedication and time put in to outline my business plan and move into a suite in Houston! I’m super excited to see how far I will be in a few months from now.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
The definition of success is definitely subjective. To me, success is waking up every day and feeling at peace and confident with what I’m doing in life. To be able to just ‘BE’, to love and experience life how I most want to, feeling at ease, and genuinely happy. I love to travel, meet people, build experiences, and take pictures of it all. That is success to me.
