Hi Sylvia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Backyard Pineapple started as an idea for our daughter’s 13th birthday. It was during the height of the Pandemic and we wanted to celebrate with our family in a special way. We bought an outdoor screen and after using it for a month straight. I told my husband “Juan, I think other families would enjoy this too, I think we can market this.” Initially, he thought I was crazy but he humored me, as he always does.
Here we are, nearly two years later with over 200 families served in the greater Houston area. We added slumber party tents, picnics, yard games, and now MINI Golf. We’re a backyard party entertainment business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, we have had to learn to adjust. We are a small team, and sometimes the weather works against us but we always learn from our failures.

Backyard Pineapple is a local backyard entertainment business. What we want our clients to know is that we specialize in making Backyard Parties memorable.
Our customer service sets us apart, we are timely, reliable and we provide on site service. We are most proud that our brand representatives, backyard techs, (Adrián, Andrès and Karen! ) and owners work collaboratively to ensure your experience exceeds your expectation. We want our customers to know the value we bring is both cost savings and time efficiency.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Our business name is a play on our last name, Piña. Backyard Pineapple, to us means… home, hospitality and family.
