Today we’d like to introduce you to Marco Juarez.
Marco, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Started when I was 17 years old when I moved to Texas from Chicago, I started watching YouTube videos then I went to barber school and that didn’t stop the potential that I had I love what I do. It started from one friend trusting me with cutting his hair to the next and next and that’s how I started having more clients. I am very grateful, I love being able to have a connection with my clients and making them feel more confident in their appearance after each haircut.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been good as it seemed. They are many struggles in this career many people closed doors or didn’t think I was good enough. But I’m glad it never gave up and kept going.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Barber. I love doing what I do. I am known for being a very easy talkative person that is always very attentive and in a good mood. I am proud of being able to have clients that recommend me to others I guess that’s how you can tell when you’re good at something. I never want to leave my clients feeling bad about their self-esteem there are moments where they ask for a transformation because they want to look more presentable and I do what they ask. I like to have. A good conversation with each of my clients because I want them to feel great about themselves. I think my favorite part is when I have a client that wants something different as in cutting their long hair off or anything like that .
What are your plans for the future?
In the future, I would like to become a very known barber in Houston. Mabey even open up a barbershop. I would like to cut famous people’s hair someday.
