Lu’s Barber Shop Haircut & Shave was created with the desire to bring back the classic and authentic Barber Shop experience. Offering quality haircuts, hot lather/hot towel shaves, Beard Trims and treatments using today’s quality products. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly Shop and atmosphere with black and white checkered flooring, original 1952 Koken Barber Chairs, multiple TV’s for the Shop to enjoy, and complimentary beer and water while you wait.
Our staff is the back-bone of our business. From my commitment to our local community, business, and 10+ years of business development experience. We have shown dedication and professionalism to this industry and have worked towards creating and enhancing the best Barber Shop experience around. Making sure every service and experience is done to the client’s preference and liking to our Barber staff in conducting services in a professional manner while showing their skillset and pride in their craft. Our staff is dedicated in growing individually, professionally, and working together to achieve the results that makes us a very successful Barber Shop.
We opened up Lu’s Barber Shop Haircut & Shave in the Clear Lake area in January 2014 and expanded to our second location in the League City area in January 2016 with the same concept and business structure. The key is to love what you do from top to bottom and continue to grow and create memorable experience to all our clients.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Many may think that it has been a smooth road to create what we have established. But there have been numerous long nights and hard work that goes into creating a successful venture. We’ve had our AC go out, our power go out, our credit card machine not work as well as your normal operational issues. We’ve had to be patient and positive to get through these types of issues. But with a positive attitude and optimism, we’ve seemed to get through these hurdles. It’s always a learning experience and we continue to learn every day.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I cannot tell those secrets… I’m very happy with what we have accomplished both personally and for our great staff members.
