Mary, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As long as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for marketing and advertising. I suppose it was the stories that attracted me the most; every brand has such a unique and dynamic narrative to deliver to their audience. In the end, it was my mother who inspired me to fulfill my dreams and found this company.
Since our humble beginnings in 2009, we’ve grown into something truly special—a full-service marketing and advertising firm with over 40 employees and a distinct culture I’m proud to be a part of. As I reflect on our unique and versatile company, I am thankful I have the opportunity to foster an agency that attracts some of the most talented and vibrant people in the industry. And with a 100% internal growth since 2009, we’ve had the good fortune to work with some truly spectacular brands; from Fortune 500 tech enterprises to small businesses, we’ve made significant impacts on their respective industries through focused campaigns and engaging content.
From graphic designing to copywriting, and media buying to digital efforts, our team works seamlessly together to deliver comprehensive and detail-oriented content for all of our clients. Through a hands-on approach, I strive to maintain a synergistic and a family-like atmosphere, despite our rapid growth. I am excited to see what the future holds for Versa Creative. Each day is an opportunity to offer the world something different and take brands to new heights with strategic and imaginative content. We often tell each other to dream boldly, because if there’s anything worth doing, it’s worth doing with immeasurable amounts of courage.
Has it been a smooth road?
Over the years, we’ve faced and overcome a great deal of challenges. From grand openings to complete brand refreshes, we’ve seen it all, but perhaps the most significant challenge was adapting toward a digital dominant age. Gone are the days when billboards and print made a lasting impact. Within the past 2 years alone, our PPC, SEO, and Social Media departments have nearly doubled to accommodate client needs and thrive in an ever-changing market. Our Premier Google Partnership also allows us to offer unprecedented digital services and have access to exclusive betas to grant them the exposure they need.

What’s not to love about Houston? The culture, the food, the atmosphere—Houston has something to offer everyone because it’s endowed with such rich diversity. Alongside its marvelous museum district, its greatest attributes are perhaps the multicultural experiences it provides. This city is also a place of opportunity; a place where your dreams are shaped and defined by your own hard-earned accomplishments. I will always be proud to call myself a Houstonian.
