Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlene Freeman.
Hi Charlene, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Charlene Freeman I always had a passion for cooking. I come from a family that cooks and bakes. I got my name Taste Louisiana from my great grandmother her name is Louisiana. I get every bit of spice from her. Every Saturday my great aunt bakes sweet potato pies, lemon tarts, peanut butter candy, etc…My mom works in a school as a cook so I get my cooking from her she can whip anything up from scratch. I started cooking more when I move to Texas we don’t eat out much so making up different types of items to cook. By me bringing leftovers at work co-worker love my Louisiana food it impressed many, who encouraged me to sell my food and turn my passion into a business. Especially when Covid-19 hit us selling plate lunches is how I supported my family. I bring irresistible flavors of Southern cuisine to many customers from Texas to Louisiana no place is to far.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
