Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Torres.
Hi Diana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born in Mexico and moved to Kansas when I was 8 years old. I found my family there and had two beautiful kids, two boys! We decided to move to Texas in October of 2020 to explore a new chapter in our lives. As I had dreams that I was not able to achieve back in my hometown, I decided to do my own research on modeling and acting schools, without letting anybody know about my plans. I found John Casablancas Center and made a phone call, I spoke to them and made arrangements. My husband helped me pay for my school and I was able to graduate. After that, I worked for a full year on promoting myself on social media, while I was being signed to MTM agency by the school and doing auditions, along with collaborations with strangers and new friends. I kept looking for any opportunity, even though my only support was my partner. I was able to be in the Dr. Ollie show twice after landing the audition. later this year I got signed with ICON Studios and was able to be part of a music video and other small films. I am always working hard and have a passion for acting and modeling. I want to be international and help others along the way, and show other moms that we can still go out there and fulfill our dreams! it is always in your mind, nothing else can hold you down!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
this journey has definitely not been easy, but it has been rewarding, because I always knew that you have to fall to get back up stronger than ever and nothing is free in this life. some struggles along the way that I had to go through were in comparison with other talents and fighting against my insecurities and knowing that putting myself out there would bring more attention, either good or bad. social media can be good for marketing and promotion but evil comes along the way, where you find people with no feelings and think that cyberbullying is okay to do. As a mom, I feel that I am liable for anything that can happen to my family because of my open life towards the public, etc. I always put God first and give it all on set.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
When I was chosen to be the lead actress in the short film Desperate Measures from Joseph Herrera, I met CEO Normita Joven in person from ICON studios US and I had already spoken to her on social media about opportunities the year prior to that. But I only had the opportunity to work next to her in this film, where she saw I was serious about my acting and wanted to make it a career. I believe everything happens for a reason at the right time and this was the film that gave me good luck and now I am part of the ICON team.
