Check Out Taylor Nai’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Nai.

Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been singing since I was 4 years old, it all started when I was gifted a karaoke machine for Christmas. Once Drake released his album “Take Care” I was instantly inspired to put my feelings into someone’s speakers, so I started songwriting at 12 years old. In 2020 I was accepted into Texas Southern University and there I began laying down a foundation for my platform.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I’ve dealt with hate, doubts, rejection, and even a curtain close. But throughout that my passion for the music along with my ambition and drive has kept me from giving up!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an artist singer and songwriter from Port Arthur Texas land of the trill and home of UGK but currently, I’m in Houston Texas. I am vocally known for my jazz range and my lower octaves. “Anyone who has ever seen Taylor Nai perform knows that Taylor Nai is a powerhouse on her own .” I’m most proud of myself and how I have evolved as a woman spiritually and mentally. Being an independent artist in a big city is very challenging but success is my virtue. I believe what sets me apart from others is my authenticity & my confidence. My humbleness is a result of God showing me that he gives but he can also take.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
God has strengthened all parts of me throughout the hardships of growing up in the hood. He has challenged me and tested my faith. With that being said I can honestly say that God has molded me to be the star that I am today. Growing up in church and finding my voice by singing in church /high school gospel choir allowed me to get to know God first!
