Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmynne Moore.
Hi Jazmynne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My love for the arts, music and movies begin as a little girl. My timeline, this lifetime, began with growing into a creative in Missouri City, Texas. Although I was born in Houston I graduated from Hightower Highschool. Marshall Highschool was my home school and I also attended Elkins Highschool. Shortly after graduation, I went to the US Army. I served in Schweinfurt, Germany and North Iraq as a logistics specialist. After the Army, I went to the Art Institute of Houston. I got a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion and Retail Management and a Certificate in Screenwriting. In 2017 prior to College graduation, I began studio recording my raps. I’m also a versatile multi-genre artist, a part of a duo and solo. My solo artist name is Married2dank and, the duo name is Foreign World. The name Married2dank represents what I love the most and what my music consists of. Foreign World is the duo with me and singer, songwriter Azip. Foreign World has genres of R&B, rap, spatial audio, trap rock, lo-fi. In my music, I want to show real-life scenarios, resilience, art, and be a positive example of brown people.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been great days along with a lot more bumpy days. Real high, highs and really low, lows. Some of the struggles include days when I was having life, mental, and financial issues. Life issues stem from growing and understanding good and bad karma. Learning that this too shall pass and choosing who and how I want to be. Mentally I suffered when I denied reality and needed to forgive my trama. When I did not choose my mood and lacked emotional maturity life was severely hard. Lastly, financial literacy came through trial and error I’m still catching up. Once I focused my spending on what I needed to elevate versus not caring, financially I became abundant. Through this all, the biggest struggle is staying sane and motivated to create. To combat everything I create through it all. I create happy, sad, hurt, broke, cocky or turnt up.

I am a rapper my solo artist name is Married2dank and my duo name is Foreign World. I specialize in rapping fast and having versatility. Ambition sets me apart from others, I have experienced different walks of life. My subject matter is unlimited and I am a lyricist. I have an unorthodox or quirky perspective. I love the sport of rap and music to my core. My new single “Grab The Wall” featuring Azip is a hype song that get the ladies to the dance floor.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
You can choose your mood no matter the environment. Psychologically you can have control by telling your brain what it feels or thinks.
