Meet Stephanie Hobbs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Hobbs.

Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I developed a passion for fashion as a young girl. I was born and raised in the small town of Moro, Arkansas and learned early on about the importance of looking appropriate for every moment. As a little girl, I would walk around in my mother’s high heels. I also inherited my mother’s style and sense of fashion, amongst my friends, I was known to be very stylish. I’ve always had a passion for styling others for any event, big or small. While attending events, people would notice my unique style and ask who created such a look. Initially, I had no desire to develop my craft of styling others into a business, but I decided to go for it after prayer and careful consideration. On June 16, 2018, Style Me Stephanie was launched at The Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

During the launch, I hosted a fashion show that showcased my styling skills. The models’ looks were created using existing pieces from their wardrobe, and I simply added the Style Me Stephanie signature, which is a pop of color. As a result of the amazing job performed, I began to receive calls for other shows, speaking engagements, and personal styling sessions. Style Me Stephanie was on the move.

Style Me Stephanie has a range of services which includes personal/fashion styling and wardrobe, personal shopping, virtual styling, photoshoot consultations, closet revamps, fashion show coordination, and my own product line. Additionally, I’m a Brand Ambassador for Bag It Up Boutique in Arkansas, SBDNC Apparel in Georgia, Lead Wardrobe Stylist for Chrissy Bryant Photography, and an Independent Contractor with Q Clothier. I also began offering model training in 2019.

What makes it all worth it for me? It’s the positive feedback I receive from my clients after styling them. I also help to build their confidence and boost their self-esteem. I desire that my clients be the best version of themselves. I want to inspire, motivate, and educate others through fashion. My clientele includes county clerks, judges, social butterflies, and elite circles.

Because the Fashion Industry is forever changing, I understand the importance of staying relevant. I educate myself on the latest fashion trends and post daily style tips on the Style Me Stephanie Facebook page to keep my clients and followers in the know of the latest trends. I’ve learned from Celebrity Stylist J. Bolin by participating in his Fashion Boot Camp. J Bolin is my biggest inspiration. I see so much of myself in him. He loves color, and he started out styling his clients from their closets, just like me. I’m his biggest fan.

In the future, I want to become more involved in my community by giving back financially and educating teenage girls in fashion and etiquette

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth road? No, absolutely not! My biggest struggle was FEAR. I allowed fear to take over in the first stages of launching my business. I told myself that I wasn’t ready to start a business. I worried if I would have enough money to start my business.

There were so many thoughts running through my head. But, I had to stop and tell myself, ” God didn’t bring you this far, for you to give it up now.” Yes, you will have struggles along the way, but never let FEAR stop you from doing what God has called you to do!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The name of my business is Style Me, Stephanie. What is Style Me Stephanie? Style Me, Stephanie, is a professional fashion styling business that specializes in styling from your closet, personal shopping, virtual styling, speaking engagements, and putting together fashion shows for different organizations.

Style Me Stephanie has its own product brand of statement tees, pop of color hats, and handbags with customers across the country. I’m known for my signature style in every outfit, a pop of color. My proud moment is making the cover of Huami Magazine Arkansas for the January/February 2022 issue.

One thing that sets me apart from others, I take pride in educating myself daily on fashion. I can’t teach others if I don’t educate myself. I want my clients to have the knowledge of what they should wear and not wear.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
The Style Me Stephanie logo silhouette is actually a picture of me. I shared that on a Facebook post, and it shocked EVERYONE!
