Hi Rita, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey started one day while I was exploring 2nd stream income options. As I softly reflect on my transition to Houston, Crossing paths and engaging in meaningful conversations with seasoned Realtors energized my desire to assist people in search of their homes. Shortly therefter, my Realtor became my mentor by sharing the 411 on becoming an agent. She invited me to a few career nights, I met with several market centers (offices) and eventually landed where I consider the right place to be. With a high goal-getter spirit, I matriculated through my courses, and tested a few times until I became a Licensed Texas Realtor. My 1st transaction was accomplished 1 month after signing on with my broker. Upon sharing the news of my new career, family and friends became independent walkers and talkers. Being the sociable person I am, I started hosting several Open Houses where I generated clients as well. They then referred family and friends to me. Over the years, several families have been helped in the greater Houston area, within the 50 states, as well as internationally. Maintaining a spot in the top 20% of 200+ agents in my office and recognized as a Top 5 agent here and there as well has been extremely rewarding. ~Thankful, grateful, & Blessed~
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not, but with the attitude of “No Weapon formed Against Me Shall Prosper”, I move with grace and remain humble at all times. Offers get rejected, ignored, and some transactions can be more challenging than most. I just keep going, never stopping or giving up. There’s a great quote by Zig Ziglar I’m reminded of daily: “There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.”
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Licensed Realtor. I specialize in home matchmaking. I assist First time homebuyers, Veterans, Investors, as well as luxury apartment locating. I also assist with listing homes as well as relocation services.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
When I see clients’ joy, it sometimes starts when they walk into their home during the showing, at the final walk and/or at the closing table. It’s very rewarding to see that I’ve made another person/family happy.
