Introduce you to Rhozeland. Rhozeland is a multimedia company helping independent artists, digital creators, and emerging brands achieve creative independence. They provide services in photo, video, music, design, and writing through our integrated digital community and platform of resources and specialists.
Hi Rhozeland, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In the beginning, Rhozeland was a collective of local artists drawn together by their shared interests in fashion, design, music and video. All of its members were diamonds in the rough; sure of their talents and interests, and eager to polish them so that they would gleam. From these humble beginnings in 2016 to opening the doors of the studio space in 2021, Rhozeland has grown from a collective into a community. That same passion for artistic development has expanded outwards, tapping into the creative underground of Toronto. Now, Rhozeland offers a space in the city where any eager artist can hone their skills. Pencil crayons, colourful backdrops, powerful speakers and books are what fill our walls.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Rhozeland has had its fair share of bumps in the road. Things don’t always go as planned, and becoming business owners changes the dynamics of a collective. Despite this, Rhozeland believes in remaining resilient through tough times. Bouncing back from every up and down is another opportunity to be patient. The key has always been to keep things in perspective and to be mindful.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Rhozeland offers a space and a place. A space to work and create, a place to play and belong. The space is a co-working and multimedia studio with specialists and technicians to guide and support the creative process. The place is the community of artists who come to Rhozeland to collaborate. From audio and video recording to production and editing services, Rhozeland takes the idea of “multimedia studio” literally. But what truly makes Rhozeland unique, and its greatest source of pride, is its ability to bring people together and to develop community.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Rhozeland is grateful to all of the mentors who have guided its development and to all of the friends of the studio who have helped it grow. All of the artists who come to the studio and support the space have also played an essential role in its continued success. Rhozeland would not be able to have a community if it were not for them. Rhozeland appreciates every supporter and every sacrifice that has gone into creating the business that now exists. And credit is also due to the history of great art and great artists; the inspiring creative minds that help give purpose and meaning to Rhozeland’s existence.
