Today we’d like to introduce you to Amelia and David Ortega.
Amelia and David, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
David grew up in the family business that was established for over 35 years, giving him knowledge and skills to continue the trade for 20 years himself. He began his own business in 2007 with the help of his wife and brother-in-law. The pride in emphasizing on high-quality helped Genesis CP grow to where it is today. At Genesis CP we want to be known for the company that people call on whenever they want things done the right way.
It’s exciting to see clients see the final product and it comes out better than what they ever imagined. It’s also exciting to bring peace of mind to the client during the whole process knowing that their home is safe and well taken care of.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Genesis CP has experienced its growing pains, just like any other company. Building a new client base and having a consistent social media presence that will allow for the company to grow around the Houston area. By having a marketing coordinator on staff, we are looking to build a bigger client base. David’s passion and drive to help clients with their homes has kept him motivated to push through those “hard” days.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Every situation can turn into a learning experience. We would have started off with a strong marketing presence by establishing our logo, branding, and marketing aspect of the business before launching.
