Community Highlights: Meet Nahchon “The Developer” Guyton of Best CEO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nahchon “The Developer” Guyton.

Hi Nahchon “The Developer”, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been a coach, always trying to get the most out of everyone around me. I started a babysitting and house-cleaning business when I was about eight years old. It wasn’t much money, but it was enough for snacks. I started a mobile detailing service for older ladies when I was 18; we would come to their houses and wash and detail their cars in their driveway. We also provided house cleaning and carpet cleaning services. This was a very successful company. I was making $1000 per week, but I was spending $990 per week. I had no financial literacy, so I was not able to scale it. I was still getting calls three years later after I closed it down. They say hindsight is 20/20; if I had been wise, I would have sought outside investment. Instead, I simply closed it down.

I was always looking for creative solutions to problems as a creative problem solver. I am a serial entrepreneur, and I believe that you should keep going until you have fulfilled your life’s purpose. My life’s mission is to make a difference in the spaces and places I visit. Here is my impact statement: “To change the world one mind at a time, by assisting others in becoming the best versions of themselves, all while building financial wealth and sustainable communities.” An impact statement is a living GPS (Goals, Purpose, Strategies) that I teach all of my clients, and it serves as your true North an impact statement assists you in making better choices and decisions by removing the emotional manipulation that can occur when various opportunities present themselves. I teach my clients to use their impact statement as a guiding light; if it is not assisting them in moving closer to the fulfillment of their impact statement, they should not do it.

I fulfilled my impact statement early on in the form of youth camps put on by area churches, I designed youth programs that would help youth from underprivileged urban areas interact with more privileged children. While speaking at one of these church camps, I met a lady who worked for the Urban League in Saint Paul, MN; she asked if I would be interested in meeting her boss to discuss an opportunity. I said yes, and I guess you could say that this is what led me to my career as a coach. I was given the opportunity to work as a job developer and co-author of a program for generational welfare recipients. Get them jobs, as well as some presentation training through soft skills training. As fate would have it, one of the trainers called in for some reason or another, and I was asked to fill in for the day. That was the start of my new entrepreneurial venture, though I didn’t realize it at the time. When I entered the classroom, the reaction was overwhelmingly positive. To cut a long story short, I became not only the trainer but also the most sought-after class in the offering at the Urban League.

The Aspire program was the most successful of its kind, with 85% of all students graduating. Every 30 days, we receive 20–30 new students. People who graduated from my class went on to leave welfare and find work. This success would be short-lived, as we were informed two years in that we would not be receiving any additional funding. The Aspire program’s success was having a negative impact on the state budget. So, I worked my way out of a job and into a new business.

Personal and professional growth My team at the time asked if I could assist them in launching a new business or job role. That was the start of MLB Coaching’s personal and professional development program (Mind, Life, and Business). It took me nearly 15 years to realize that this was the vehicle. As a serial entrepreneur, I dabbled in everything: MLMs, various network marketing, and even a design firm while developing the Aspire program. I was all over the place and didn’t notice the golden goose right in front of me. I spent hours doing other things that were never as fulfilling as teaching people how to be their best selves.

I must admit that it was not an easy road to get here; I had to go through many valleys, disappointments, and frustrations before arriving at this point, the place I was meant to be, the developer of Minds, Lives, and Businesses, the owner of Best CEO. The journey was worth it, now I can see that.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road has not been easy; there have been numerous challenges. Money problems, insufficient funding, and the need to work to keep money flowing. Several business partners stabbed me in the back. Being frustrated and experiencing mild depression. Marital issues from which I am still dealing with the fallout to this day. Being an entrepreneur is a difficult path to take. It is a difficult path that requires a lifetime commitment. If you are unsure about the journey, I recommend taking a long, hard look at the cost. If you want everyone to agree with you and you are a people-pleaser, this is not for you.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Best CEO, LLC is an acronym that stands for Business Educational Strategic Training and Community Engagement Officers. We operate as Best CEO ActionCOACH. We’re bringing back another program called MLB (Mind, Life, and Business). Welcome to the Majors, “is our tagline. MLB coaches from all angles. We provide group coaching for businesses, individuals, executive teams, and, of course, CEOs. We concentrate on getting to the root of all problems, which is the mindset.

You can find a coach for anything these days, from attitude to Zumba and everything in between. We are not your typical coaching company that arose from the ashes of the pandemic. We were doing this before coaching became popular. We did this when it was called Leadership, Personal, and Professional Development. Over the last twenty-five years, we have coached over a thousand men and women to become the best versions of themselves. MLB is a comprehensive program that grew out of working with men and women on welfare. We were able to move them forward in their lives because of what we created in Aspire, which serves as the foundation for our MLB (Mind, Life, and Business) coaching program. Our tagline is “Welcome to the Majors.”

We are proud to be the only 360-degree coaching program that focuses on the individual. Many programs work for many people, but we’ve discovered that if the mindset isn’t right, success is often fleeting. Making money does not make you a great success when your personal life and health are in disarray. You were so focused on making money that you forgot about your purpose, people and relationships. We teach you how to live and work intentionally from a place of purpose. MLB must be experienced to be fully appreciated. We are offering your readers a 12-month program called “Living by Design” for $10,000 per person. This is a community program designed to help you live the life you want.

We offer yearly programs because we know that to get the best results, it takes time. All of our programs are 12 months in length. Now you will begin to see results within 3-6 months. You are not buying time; you are buying our expertise and results. There is a $2000.00 non-refundable deposit required for all programs. We promise that you’ll be able to reach your full potential, find your purpose, and live your life on purpose.
