Life & Work with Daniella Rollinson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniella Rollinson.

Hi Daniella, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
From a very young age, I grew up watching my mom making presentations at her work, let’s say that her dedication would inspire me to be brave too, so I always liked to “create and do new things”, My mom had always been in front of the camera with newscasts, because she was a public figure in the health area of my country, at that time I had no idea that my life would turn out what it is today.

Over time, in my adolescence, I witnessed many internal conflicts, especially my self-esteem, I underestimated myself as a person, and for that moment, I doubted my existence in this world, it was a super hard moment, and although it sounds a bit cliché, only GOD He was able to help me get out of there and show me that I could get up and be the best version of myself.

During that time, I began to discover my skills and talents and put them into practice, the truth is that I realized that I loved to communicate and not only that but that my message had a purpose, that way I began to participate in projects to help others for what I went through and show them that there was a way out of there.

Over time I decide to emigrate from my country Venezuela and start over in this country, at first like everyone else, with fear and uncertainty but with the certainty that I was in the place where God placed me and that in some way it would be useful in this new place.

And I began to work in “Vision Latina Channel 57.9”, at first I started as an audio apprentice and I watched how a TV program was made, then they gave me the opportunity to produce a 30-minute program about family and couples, and I grew and developed my work little by little (In all this God was directing me and giving me ideas because I didn’t even know how)

In 2021, “Rompiendo el Silencio (breaking the silence)” is born, a program dedicated to our Latino community, especially women and their families, and together with two colleagues and friends, we began to develop this new program, at that time I was the “guest coordinator” because they said it was easier for me to talk haha, and together with the producer at the time Jessica Avilez we developed this program.

With a well-structured program, thanks to the hard work of the entire television team, they now gave me the opportunity to be a producer of this wonderful program about which I was super passionate because it was exactly what I loved a program with a purpose and better yet that is there to help our community and the best part with Christian principles.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been an easy road, especially because at the beginning you need to remove your barriers, because sometimes we self-sabotage ourselves, saying that we do not deserve it or that we are not capable of achieving it, that is why for me it has been super fundamental to have a good relationship with God because it gave the insurance on everything ill do.

As a program, we always seek to give the best for our Latino community with specialists and professionals who can provide quality information for our viewers, but unfortunately, we have found a small percentage that does not take the program so seriously and do not know how to appreciate its objective. However, despite this small percentage, we have a super group of specialists who accompany us week after week, providing their best support and knowledge to this tv show, for which we are extremely grateful.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a television producer on “VISION LATINA” channel 57.9 in the wonderful city of Houston, to begin one of the outstanding actions that I’ve specialized are my communication skill and being able to engage with professionals to be part of this program its one of my best attitudes because regardless my interior fears and the thought of being declined it has just made me stronger, I recognize that thanks to this job I have learned to multitask and be more detailed, something that sets me apart is that I am always looking to outstand everything I do, by evolve and growing the quality of my work, of course, I am not perfect but I work hard so that everything comes out in the best way during the whole process, do things with love and enjoy what I do! Then so, making different and without a doubt also thanks to the incredible team of the TV studio that without them it would not be the same at all.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I come to realize that the world of television is constantly changing to adapt to trends and provide the best content for our audience, although in five years I may not be the producer of this program anymore, I see myself doing what I love and Using my resources and qualities to continue promoting and helping our community, I am currently investing in my academic studies to continue developing my skills and be able to be a better professional and provide the best quality in my work.
