Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Thankfully it’s been a fun journey, people have been very receptive, we’ve received a few negative comments, but we were aware since day one, that some things that we love, others may not. We just don’t let the negative behavior of others destroy our inner peace.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We both are colleagues and have more than 10 years of experience in the Communications industry. Carla’s background has more to do with TV production and editing and Nahima is in the creative side since she has a background in Marketing and PR.
We are very proud of all that we have achieved so far in this country, as we both are from Venezuela.
What sets us apart from others is our ability to connect with the community and our expertise in the communications field.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Nahima: One of my favorite childhood memories was working alongside my mom, she is a retired Spanish professor. Working with my mother taught me the value of hard work and sticking to a project until it is done right. Those moments in my childhood might seem small but they have made hard work and stick-to-itiveness a significant part of who I am today.
Carla: One summer, I hiked into the woods behind my house with my older brother. We found an open area in the middle of a giant group of oak trees and decided to make a fort. We worked on it all week, dragging sticks and branches to make a basic shelter. When we finally completed the fort, we lugged pillows, blankets and baskets of stuff from our rooms. We spent hours playing games and reading comic books in our fort until mom called us back into the house at twilight.
After that summer, my brother and I became closer. I still remember all the time we spent in that fort and how it made us better friends, which is a bond we share even to this day.
