Inspiring Conversations with Natasha Freire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Freire.

Hi Natasha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I received a Bachelors and Masters in Social Work at Baylor University. Having this background allows me to create more meaningful relationships with clients when it comes to my photography business. I began taking senior photos for my friends in college as well as taking photos of my family. After graduating, I started pursuing my social work degree with doing photography on the side. Now, I continue doing both as my photography business grows.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I definitely think photography brings obstacles to overcome. With this day in age, many people are interested in taking photos. Social media has brought an outlet of comparison for many, including myself. This can be hard when trying to showcase your own creative talent. I’ve had to look at social media as a place to learn rather than compare. I now follow other photographers so I can take notes and better my own skills.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
While I typically work in Houston, you can find me seeking to travel to help capture your warmest moments. I’ve been able to photograph a variety of moments which include: seniors, engagements, first birthdays, families, couples, events, newborns, portraits, and lifestyle. I love how I am able to be versatile in my work to help create beautiful memories for others.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My success and drive come from my support. My family and boyfriend have always supported me in photography and have pushed me to become better. They are my biggest advocates and I owe my success to them. I also collaborate with some other creative businesses in the area like YGS CO. She will set up a one-of-a-kind picnic for you and you can add my services on as a package.
