Conversations with Marcus Haynes aka Dubble0

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcus Haynes aka  Dubble0.

Hi Dubble0, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I originally started writing poetry I had a poem publish in the national libations in the 3rd grade that transition as I got older into music especially with Tupac being my favorite rapper an his mother was actually my role model I converted over to music and battle rapping I took a five years break from music to find myself not only as an artist but as a person I end up becoming a member of the New Black Panther party in 2016 revamped my whole style and brand and drop my first song in 2019 entitled Ugly that went viral on Facebook which gave me the right boost to get where I wanted to be I did a song with Yung Marterz and Daria Savannah called Ghetto Stories with debuted on 97.9 with Michael Watts drop my first mixtape Series installment called “BARZ Ova Bullsh**” the became very popular and shortly after that I drop an project called “Still Standing” which was nominated for Mixtape of The Year 2021 by South Entertainment Awards and debut single “Walk Em Down” top the independent artist Global charts at 99 earning me my first plaque fast forward today I feel like I’m one of the best lyricist in the city line for line bar for bar also one of the best Story Telling artist and now I’m focusing on becoming an actor I acted in a movie called Day 2 Day that’s on YouTube and Tubi and series called HouWood that’s getting ready to be released soon.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has no way, shape, form or fashion been easy especially with the type of music I make the road has been very hard me personally I’m trying to bridge the gap of knowledge an entertainment and convey it to my fans without it sounding forced or redundant I also made a promise to my uncle before he was a murder that if I was going to rap to tell the truth that was last words ever said to me and that stuck so going against the grain is always going to be a struggle but that is what makes character.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love that I can help a person get through a rough time in their life with my music. I can touch a person’s spirit and lift it; that’s the best thing about what I do being able to connect with my fans on an imitated and personal level.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
When I get a letter in the mail in the 3rd grade saying my poem was being published in the national library and seeing the expression on my grandmother and mom’s face priceless memory.
