Hi Celeste, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in the Beauty Industry since I was born my mom is a hairstylist so I grew up watching my mom care for us doing something she loves. I actually started physically at 12 years helping her with her clients. So Hair was instantly my first love from 12 til now. With a few hiccups and stops, I didn’t finish cosmetology school due to life so yes my first love and I separated. I begin working in various fields corporate America, Hospitality, and Customer Service. Until I was an Assistant Manager At Loan Store here and was robbed at gun point I instantly started thinking of my dreams and if it all ended that day, I locked the barrel of a gun face on. What would my kids have said about their mom? Fast forward to when COVID-19 Came around an opportunity like never before presented itself in The Beauty Industry. Ogle Beauty School in Stafford was offering virtual courses to obtain a beauty license. Now granted hair was totally off the table then and I was into clearing skin, my son has eczema so I was thinking okay, I can create a body cream for eczema. But you know the saying, tell God your plans lol yea, so it didn’t exactly go as such. I pray about any and everything so I prayed before calling admissions on my lunch break one day and I said ok hey we doing this again but as an Esthetician. So the lady is going over everything and she says well how are you going to be a full-time student and work full-time because once time permits I’d have to go back into the classroom. Which were the same as my work hours then, I told that lady with so much confidence (now that I think of it) Listen The God I Serve will make a way and for most Covid 19 was horrible.
However, I took it as a season of leaping faith. and that’s exactly how it happened. I graduated during Covid. But it wasn’t what I though God Revealed Me To Me if that makes any sense. HeavenlyLash’D came about from my Name – Celeste, which means Heavenly And Lashes came to Me like Hair the different diameters lengths & styles etc all reminded me of how I would do a sew-in and lay the wefts and how I would style hair. People would ask how do I have the patience to lash every single healthy natural lash, let alone see it. My response would be it’s therapeutic for me, mentally it’s all a vibe once I throw on Erykah Badu Station on Pandora. Welcome to Luxury land of relaxation. I personally know r&b music is a nostalgia and very relaxing. So I always set the mood for my clients to experience The experience of actually relaxing and drifting off like you would if you listened to Cherish the day by Sade or any old-school real music you know and listen before you know the girls are sleeping ok and good. Then wake up like a girl “this me” or some just needed that time to sleep and be relieved of whatever was bothering them before walking through my doors. I truly love what I do and the ladies I come in contact with.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Now it hasn’t been peaches and cream. I tell you that I recently was a part of one of Houston’s Hottest Brow Salon for three years I’ve been lashing. Well, she decided God Told her to shut her business down. However, in for it you know I can’t and won’t Go back and forth on what God asked or told one to do. However, the owner and I have been friends/family for over 13 years so one part of me was excited for whatever her next chapter was caused that’s my girl I wanna see he exceed in life and win and the other part was going insane like a girl you just now picking up the pace in clientele things are flowing really good, etc… what you about to do. Like I was legit have daily mental breakdowns like this is your Job. Even with the 60day notice given, it’s inflation going on outside everything High, you know so I’m distraught ok then a single mother of two needy little humans lol and bills hitting me like Cassius Clay himself. So I reached out to my girl (the OWNER) like what’s up you know, like let’s talk as girls what’s going on really cause I truly didn’t understand none when I say none of what was actually taking place. Like I’m Really about to move my Business to my home like HOW? Long story short that call cost me my best friend of 13 plus years cause of me confused as to why now? But in the midst of it all, it was a greater lesson being learned. And I’m Thankful for it.

I Specialize In Luxury Lash Extensions and Lash Training I’m a 3x Certified Lash Tech Not Clusters or individuals or whatever other names that’s trending behind the original name. I’m known for my Customer Service and styles none of my sets are alike. most of my clients just lay down and say “do you” lol they really trust me. I’m most proud of my resilience and ability to keep going and to look back on the day I was laid off from COVID-19 and started a whole business during a worldwide pandemic. My authenticity and vibe also What God Has for me is what sets me apart. Even tho I’ve been home-based since June 1st. What I was making a big deal of God has shown me that it wasn’t me that did this it was him all alone and only him that will get the glory. Cause listen, the girls still booking!!
