Meet Tia Walker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Walker.

Hi Tia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey is complex, full of experience and observation. Since I was a child, I was exposed to environments that were beyond my years. I was raised and surrounded by women who were drained and in pain. They were putting on a happy face, but their spirits and energy did not ooze joy. I witnessed all the trauma that they experienced, and although I did not quite understand, my heart pained for them. I witnessed not only how the trauma affected them, but how it transferred to those around them, and then those around them, It was a cycle that needed to be broken. I genuinely wanted to understand, but it wasn’t until I experienced it all first hand that I did. My character, my mission, and this organization, was created to be a solution to a problem. Bei Diamanti means Beautiful Diamonds in Italian. Every woman is beautiful, unique, and created under pressure just like diamonds. Women are the first teachers of a home. How she thinks, how she feels, and how she moves, essentially affect all those feeding on her. Bei Diamanti mission is to help women self-actualize. Through encouragement, inspiration, and education, we want to nurture our women in a full 360. When a woman is nurtured properly, she can feed her household properly and positively. She is in power through influence.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has not been an easy one! I personally live by and have experienced everything I speak and teach about. With that being said, the only way to be a good leader is not by barking orders, but to do what you want your followers to do. In order to encourage a woman to push through and be authentic, I have to push through and be authentic myself. When it comes to fulfilling this mission, my personal time and finances are invested. Being a mom of two, both of time and capital are already spread thin. Nonetheless, I am extremely passionate about what I believe in, that is is worth me investing in. Many battles and changes have transpired in my personal life that will cause me to be distracted; however, why would I allow the same thing I’m fighting for, defeat me? Life happens, but you must know how to adapt, adjust, and keep moving. Making small steps, staying disciplined, and focused on the end goal, will help you overcome the obstacle.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I describe myself as a multi-faceted being. I am a mom (full-time responsibility in itself). Outside of motherhood and being the Founder/President of Bei Diamanti, I am also in the US Army, specializing in logistics. In my personal and business life, I am known for planning and managing things. I am the go-to person for a lot of people. I am most proud of my ability to stay grounded and true to who I am, regardless of circumstances. I believe what sets me apart from the average women, is my character and mindset to see things from every angle.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is defined by each individual person. Success to me means to live authentically and peacefully to your beliefs. If you have joy and peace in your day-to-day and have not conformed to others’ opinions of you, you have reached success.
