Daily Inspiration: Meet Ridge Hardy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ridge Hardy.

Hi Ridge, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started putting together events at the end of 2020. It was made for me to rap and have others perform alongside me. But I grew in love with the feeling of just helping other creatives perform and watching their growth.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. The journey is never smooth. It’s actually insane that I’m even continuing on this path, to be honest. Being overwhelmed with work and deadlines to get things done isn’t easy. Also, working with some creatives that don’t appreciate your efforts to make them feel comfortable isn’t a great feeling as well. But I truly enjoy what I do, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. You most definitely have to have a love for putting together events.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I like to simply consider myself as a creative. My company is called Red Balloon, where we put together events for independent creative artists as well as small business owners. We also have our own network channel called Red Balloon TV where we take you behind the scenes of the creative process with different creatives around the city. On our network, we so far have 3 different TV shows that we’re working on. I am most definitely proud of everything that we have going at the Red Balloon and I am working effortlessly to continue to get the company off the ground. I think what sets me apart from others is that I truly care. I’ve learned that most people don’t. You have to simply care about what you truly believe in.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Anyone who has come to our shows, came on the TV show, worked with in small films deserves credit. Even my artists that believe in me as a manager deserve credit. To trust me as a leader is truly an honor, and I don’t take anything for granted.
