Meet Adrienne Hoffman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Hoffman.

Hi Adrienne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Joyful Soul Calligraphy began four years ago because I wanted a way to earn income when it was time to become stay at home mom. As a child, I always enjoyed handwriting and making words look as pretty as I could, so the art of calligraphy was a perfect way to create a business.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest struggle as a calligrapher has been acquiring the confidence that my skills are good enough and that my talent is one that others will have a need for. I have always been one to worry about the “what ifs” in life; “What if I’m not good enough?”, “What if they don’t like my style?”, “What if I fail?” so growing in my ability to see how crucial my talent is to others was a big obstacle to overcome.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a calligrapher specializing in envelope addressing, wedding and special event signage, and engraving. It makes me so happy that I get to create such personal and memorable pieces of art for each person’s special event or wedding. What sets me apart from other calligraphers is my location! Majority of my clients are in and around Houston’s Bay Area, so Clear Lake, Webster, League City, etc., but I will assist you no matter where your location is!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am an adventurer! I love to camp, hike, and spend my time in nature; it makes my soul happy!
