Meet Tony Tran

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Tran.

Tony, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I guess from a really young age, I found myself in a lot of positions that put me as a leader or teacher of some sorts. I became an instructor for martial arts at the age of 15 leading my team to compete in Paris twice. I became a flag football coach for my college team and played at competitive levels all over the state of Texas. I also became an officer for the biggest organization on campus, that hosts a yearly multi-sport tournament for universities to participate in. Throughout that time, I was in school in hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist. Upon graduating from the University of Houston, I got a job as a Physical therapist Technician. With this experience, I came to realize that I wanted to widen my horizons and continue to build my knowledge on fitness as a whole. At the time, the pandemic was still happening and it was difficult to find employment. Fortunately, I was able to find a job at Kinitro Fitness as a Front Desk Employer. From there I worked my way up, learning more and more about health and fitness and loving every minute of it. It changed the way I perceived this industry as I worked with a team that had different backgrounds such as Physical Therapists and Sports Trainers. From here I became my own Fitness Coach working with bodybuilders, flag football athletes/teams, and youth strengthening programs! I love the flexibility this career gives me by allowing me the opportunity to create my own possibilities. My hope is to continue building my repertoire and be able to spread my passion and knowledge and help others achieve their goals.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There were so many obstacles and learning points that had to be overcome. I think the most important lesson I’ve had to learn was patience. Throughout this road, so many things have happened and I’ve beaten myself up for making mistakes after mistakes. It frustrated me when things didn’t go my way or when my career wasn’t moving as fast as I wanted it to. I felt like I was making all the right moves, yet I always found myself stuck right at the beginning again. It really takes a toll on you mentally when this cycle repeats itself. You do something right, it doesn’t go your way, and you begin to doubt yourself. “Patience” that’s what my mentor told me, “have patience”. Good things come to those who wait. So I put my head down, worked hard and kept learning more about my craft. Then one day, I gained my first client. On a glorious day I waited for, everything went the way it was supposed to. I signed her on the spot and till this day she is still my client. Things began picking up after that and I haven’t doubted myself since. No matter how rough each mistake I made or how things out of your control work, have patience in yourself and your craft, and good things will come, and you’ll soon realize that everything that has happened was nothing in relation to how big your prize is.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Fitness Coach that does in-person training and online coaching. I work with bodybuilders, athletes, and use corrective exercises for those needing to relearn body mechanics. I specialize in body transformation; for example, if you want to gain muscle, or lose fat.

I believe the human body should be able to lift heavy, move fast, and jump high. I’ve been able to integrate all styles of fitness and personalize your training to meet your needs AND add quality on to your life. I believe that the way I set up my programs really do benefit you in ways you wouldn’t notice until it happens. I strive to set people apart from their old selves and create someone capable of doing more than they have ever thought they could do.

I’m proud to say that I’ve been blessed to impact so many people with the goal of improving their lives not only physically, but mentally. Most of the time, physical health is connected to mental health. Whether they don’t like the way they look or that nagging back pain you get when you get out of bed, it connects to their emotions and own personal thoughts. It can really take a toll on someone when negative connotations about themselves swirl in their mind constantly. It’s draining. So when they come in with the intention of changing something about themselves, it’s always such a great sight to see! They’ve taken their first step!

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
