Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Breaux.
Hi Ana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always enjoyed baking desserts. Mom decorated cakes when I was younger, so I have always helped her with baking and making the icing.., I could just never get the decorating part down. Fast forward to my mid-twenties, I made a cake for a good family friend (my parents opened a restaurant and my mom was no longer doing cakes). She posted on Facebook and within a few months, I was doing a few cakes and decorating sugar cookies every week! I baked from home for about 7 years and opener my very own bakery in March of 2020.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We opened our doors right before the pandemic hit, March 4th, 2020. so we had a ruff start having to shut down for a few months. The support shown by so many helped keep us open and still going strong.
We’ve been impressed with Ana’s Confections, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We specialize in Custom cakes and Cookies. We can do anything from smash cakes to wedding cakes, but cookies are my favorite! I love the different themes and how much joy it brings to all the different events. People tell us all the time, they don’t only look good, they taste amazing and they are the best cookies! Which makes me so proud because I work really hard on them.
We also have a storefront with many different sweet treats available. Cupcakes, cookies, brownies, banana pudding, muffins, coffee, and so much more!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
We try to have great customer service. I want everyone to have a good experience when they come to see me. I am very loyal and try to keep it next level for all my returning customers. I want to WOW you every time you come back. And if I don’t, I will always try and make it right.
