Check Out Bradford Cross’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bradford Cross.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My first dream wasn’t to be an actor or model it was second to playing football in the NFL. I’ve played football since I was 5 years old and as time went on I noticed not everybody who wants to go, makes it to the NFL and that’s when acting and modeling became the route for me. I’ve always loved movies and portraying actors such as; Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, Chris Tucker, Samuel L Jackson, Martin Lawrence and many more! Now modeling came out of nowhere. While working at HEB, I would always get compliments on my smile and my face so coincidentally, one day my cousin and I were walking through the mall and a scouting agent stopped me and asked if I’ve ever thought about modeling and of course not, I didn’t think I looked that good but they gave me a card to think about it. I took the card home to show my mom and she tells me it was actually the same company that she modeled for and I was shook. We went to meet with them and they were asking for way too much money so we declined their offer. Ever since then I’ve been working on my craft which has also helped me obtain partnerships from being on social media and have even been in ads, commercials, music videos, background on TV shows, movies and was even in a stage play called “When Temptation Comes” written and directed by Harold Jay Trotter. I wish you all could’ve seen it! Everyone who did love it. I won the best actor award the first night I ever stepped on stage to perform in from of people. I will not stop until you see my face in the theaters and even when that happens I will not stop until my next goal which will be to win an Academy Award in other words an Oscar!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road and some struggles I have battled with along the road would be money for travel, Covid, flat tire in the middle of nowhere on the way to a call back from an audition with Dick’s Sporting Goods, racism due to casting agents not knowing I am an African American with the name Bradford (you should see their faces when I walk in, they look at the paper again and ask “You’re Bradford?”), death and I also have to hold myself accountable for not being consistent which makes all the difference in everything you do.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do quite a few things for work. I own a car detailing business, I’m very good with my hands and I’m a social influencer on Tiktok and Instagram. Most people know me as a handyman, who can do just about anything. On a car; I change brakes, oil/oil filter, headlights, tail lights, interior lights, spark plugs and other minor problems. In a house, I am capable of changing light fixtures, decorating a patio to your liking, fix doors, put together furniture also other minor problems. I am most proud of the fact that I can do just about anything by myself and that is also what sets me apart from others.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I learned that every situation can be turned into a positive. Through Covid, I found myself thriving, personally and professionally. I believe that I was gifted time to sit down, process strategize and execute plans that I wouldn’t have been able to pre-covid. So I can definitely say that Covid taught me to find the positive in every situation.
