Daily Inspiration: Meet Edward Miranda

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Miranda.

Hi Edward, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
With a base of knowledge about my area, but an important factor is learning to learn. Listening and taking advice from people who have years of experience, and setting short-term goals to see progress, means consistency is important. But it’s not a speed race either, it’s an endurance race, it doesn’t matter if the others go faster than me, the important thing is to resist any obstacle along the way. Understanding these concepts has gotten me to where I am today, which is not such a high place for many people, but it means a lot to me.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No road is smooth if you are an entrepreneur or creative. From my point of view, there are several struggles, the main one for me was knowing the purpose for which I did my projects; my thinking is that everything I do has to have a purpose, to do projects without a clear purpose, I think it’s a mistake. Another struggle that happens or well that I’m still going through is knowing how to add value to people with my product or with my content. And I won’t mention the monetary side. I think that’s a struggle that many of us go through, haha.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have several stages in my life, I started as a musician and now I am a podcast producer and I also have my own podcast. Personally, I think that one of the things that set me apart from others is my way of thinking, if we talk about content creation, you don’t have to have the best recording equipment to convey the best message. I always say that Quantity will give you Quality, you cannot start a super production if you have no income, it would be foolish to do that. Of course, if you have the resources, go for it! But remember, “the substance is more important, not the form”.

As time passes and mistakes are made, you will improve.

Another thing that has set me apart, or so I think, is my way of making podcasts, I try to investigate and know everything about my Guest. Many people have told me that I do a good job in that area, and no, I don’t want you to think that I’m being selfish by saying this.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
1. Consistency.
2. Do things out of love, not out of obligation.
3. Friends who motivate you.
4. Know the purpose for which I do my projects.
