Hi Shanice, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started writing resumes as a complete hobby at very inexpensive rates. I wrote resumes for my family and friends and then I expanded to offering the services on my Instagram, the feedback was great! I then moved into making it a business and expanding the business to more than resumes and cover letters but any writing needs.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has not been the smoothest but it’s not been the worst. I am grateful for my path as I’ve learned a lot along the way. One struggle that is lingering is making time for it, as I still work full-time! Anytime there is a request for services, it is my first priority though, and this has been the best way to handle it.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The characteristics that are most important to my success (because I can’t choose one) is being a visionary, my tenacity, and having grit! There are endless opportunities for my business with it being expanded to offer more services or even contracting myself to corporations and other established businesses. Every sector or field requires writing of some sort,and my options are open to it all. The Writing Co. Is here to stay and it will only get better. Writing is my true passion, and I hope to one day pass it on to my children. Having grit is something my mom passed on to me. My sweet mom is the most courageous woman I have ever met, and the obstacles she has overcome and found a resolution to is astounding, she is a great role model. These are the characteristics that are most important to my success.
