Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Cossey. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Field Dates was started in 2022. Founded by Chad Cossey, a serious entrepreneur who has years of experience in startups. Field Dates has been designed for people to come together through our unique nostalgic night games experience. Field Dates is a great way to strengthen and improve team building skills, and or social skills through our bi-monthly events. With the growth of our company, we will continue to add more unique games to Field Dates while we focus on the inner city communities. Field Dates also highlights nonprofits in the community to show recognition and exposure while we help them raise money for awareness.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, this journey hasn’t been smooth. Some of the challenges I have faced were finding the right venue to fit the concept, deciding what were the best games that people would appreciate to enjoy the experience, how to fund the project to make it profitable and finally, building a solid team helps coordinate Field dates as we step into the arena of the event space.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We regularly host events to encourage and inspire adults to come out and get involved in their communities, while also fostering healthy relationships. Not only do these events help us in raising funds to continue our activities, but also it brings so many talented personalities to the playing field. Field Dates sponsors include Texas Southern University, KTSU, Minute Maid and several other local business owners from the Houston area. Several notable local celebrities are also supporting the event. KG Smooth from Majic 102.1, Chef Edwin and Tony Stubbs from the hit show Ready to Love, Hollywood Al from the hit show Put A Ring On It, DJ Big Reeks from Waxaholics and more.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Yes, Come up with a concept that you believe in, write it down, figure out how it will become profitable, figure out a marketing strategy, create a business brand to bring awareness. Establish your target market, come up with a budget to fund the project, and finally, establish a start day to get the ball rolling.
