

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanitra Bolden.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started by googling and doing LOTS of research on how to start a business. Then I put my business on Groupon and Home Advisor. Got business insurance, got a business mentor and thing I know I blew up overnight! I also got where I am today with the support of my close friends and family. Also by never giving up or getting discouraged! Success doesn’t happen overnight so you have to have a positive mindset.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has NOT been a smooth road. The struggles along the way are getting your name out to the community and for them to believe in you. There are SO many cleaning businesses in the Houston area that you have to do something to set yourself above the competition!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Neat Clean & Organized story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in personal home cleaning. I want to be personable with my clients and have them feel comfortable with me and trust in me with their home. I think consistency and familiarity is key when servicing a customer. I like the same person going to my clients home each time.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
The role that has played in my life is that I am a people person and it has helped me shape my customer service to be one of the best! Also, I found the right time to open my business which was during the summer when people move the most!
